The same for me. When I load one the other is no longer there, I checked and this seems to be how it is.

Playlists are new to me, so will take some learning, but what I plan to do is create a new Playlist of my own and from the Oldies, the Ballroom, the Pop etc I will copy what I like into my own new Playlist so then I can find what I like all together in one Playlist.

I was going to do it on the keyboard but have discovered there is a Playlist Manager software which might even make it quicker to do, with the Manager I believe you can append lists, so could have all the playlists in one large list. I've not had a chance to do this yet but it's the plan.

Vali's Yamaha Playlist Manager (and Style OTS Replacer, YEM Content Explorer) can be found here:

You can also open the playlists with a simple text editor, e.g. Notepad from Windows. I think that the internal structure of a playlist is immediately apparent, so that you can combine and edit playlists very easily on the PC.

Interesting.
The files in the Playlist folders from Yamaha (Ballroom, RetroPop, Jazz etc) show me only the .rgt files. But I had edited one of the Playlists and saved it, so I can see that one on my computer as BallroomEdited.tsv and this does open with Notepad (the rgt do too but it's all code). It is easy to understand the tsv (playlist) files when opened in Notepad, so it would be quick to edit these once all were saved as tsv files. Very handy, thanks.

On a Genos, you tap the name of the playlist (box at the top). That opens the Playlist list.

Hopefully, it's the same on a 720.

Cheers,

Yes, there are always a lot of .rgt files in Yamaha's playlist directories.

But if you look closely, you will always find exactly one .tsv file in these directories.

This .tsv file - and only this file - is the playlist. The many other .rgt files are the registration banks that are referenced in the playlist.

Ah yes, when I view by type it's easy to see the tsv file I was overlooking among the rgt files... thanks again!
