Just purchased New Computer and-------???

Hi to All

Yes, I have got a brand new AMD Ryzen 9500 built by Scan computers uk and this new 3xs machine is a Quantum leap  forward.
I recommend anyone to go for this machine at £1,554
Light speed and plenty of space.
I am doing the final loads and the last is Yamaha Expansion Manager  2.11.0.
All my packs are almost loaded except The Complete pack and the DX7 pack
If I load these two packs i get a message---------

" The pack could not be imported because there is no Instrument capable of using this pack ". "I had to laugh"!!!

It looks like Yamaha have got to sort this as Chris states these packs only load on  2.10.0.
I may be behind at the moment on the news.

Anyone else with this strange anomaly on Genos 2

Hi John,

When I stated this, V2.10.0 was probably the latest YEM version. Currently we have V2.11.0 and all packs should work the same here.

I recommend, as Luke already suggested, downloading the two packs you mentioned again:
>>> Genos_Complete_Pack.zip
>>> DX7_Pack.zip

By the way, if you are using the WiFi method to transfer the packs from the YEM to the Genos2, I still recommend manually importing the Genos2 Instrument Info file (.n27) into the YEM as well. (The Genos2 should NOT be connected via WiFi when doing this.)

Hi Chris and Luke

It was one of my blonde moments  as i did not have the Instrument info imported.
All is good now
With everything done now i will image my drive and backup everything.
I does get frustrating when a computer dies and you have to start all over
if anyone wants a computer for music composition go for a gaming computer configured just for music
AMD Ryzen 9500 3XS, 32 ram It makes the likes of Arturia synths Cpu non existant and  as I said it  does not suffer like Intel eg: The 24H update and all.
