Now that the datalist is out, I made a list of all the Genos styles from A to Z, and compared it to the list of styles I use on my PSR S970.
There are a minimum of 50 songs that I do, that have styles on my PSR, that are not on the Genos.
So, be prepared to make changes to styles that will work for you.......

Hi Gerard,
According to Mike Mixon (Keyboard America), who is a USA Tyros/Genos dealer, Yamaha will make the missing styles available for "free" download sometime in the near future.
Of course, this is third-hand information - so we may just have to wait and see.

Keep in mind that you can import those styles from other Yamaha arranger keyboards into the Genos via the USB drive.

All the best,

Copy your missing 50 styles onto a USB stick and use in Genos.

It's unique to Yamaha that we can use styles easily from USB stick without importing them to some user memory slots. This is one reason why I like the Yamaha type of arrangers.

Remember that is what your membership with this site does for you. All of the previous styles are always here for you any time you want them.

So there is no need to panic over a missing style. This however does not include the Audio styles, I also believe those type of styles have been dropped with the Genos keyboard..

This information I do find promising as if Yamaha has dropped 50 styles, then they have added 50 new ones as well. I am looking forward to hearing those in the near future through my S950.

Thanks Drake.

They changed CountryBallad to CountryBallad 1, CountryBallad 2, and CountryBallad 3, for example.
They also added more variations for styles Slowfox, Soul, and Rumba to name a few.
You will have to do some editing and try out the new styles to see if they are updated with new voicing.

In working on a new page for Genos styles on the main web site, I compiled a list of all the styles in the Tyros3, Tyros4, Tyros5, and the Genos.  Sorted alphabetically, it shows you not only all the styles that are in the Genos, but also those that were on earlier Tyros keyboards and not included in the Genos.  A "Y" indicates the style is present; a "." indicates the style is not there.  Sometimes, a keyboard would have two styles indicated by "stylename1" and "stylename2".  On other keyboards, there many have been only one of those style listed as "stylename".  In my table I list these as "stylename(1)" and "stylename2" indicating that the style might have been called "stylename" or "stylename1" depending on whether or not a second version of that style was available.

Here's a link to the style comparison table:

https://psrtutorial.com/sty/yamaha/Genos/StyleList.html

Note that there are about 225 styles from the T3, T4, or T5 keyboard that are not on the Genos.  Of course, this is not a problem for anyone who has our Styles #11 collection.

Thank you so much Joe, exactly what was needed.

Thank you, Joe,

this is great. Do you have similar information including the styles of the S970? This would be interesting for this upgrading from PSR-S to Genos.

I do have styles from S970 and S950 but did not include them since I was focusing on the Tyros models.  It may be useful to expand the table to allow for these two keyboards as well, but, as you may expect, doing so will take some time.

Thanks for this link Joe, much appreciated.

Where can I find factory styles from Tyros 3 on this site? Do I need to fulfill special conditions for access to them? Thank you.

Hi cooltool,
There are lot of free styles of previous models to download here

http://psrtutorial.com/sty/yamaha/index.html

You have to choose your model first to see what previous models styles are especially converted for it.
That doesn't mean that other conversion won't work on your keyboard.
The basic difference is that older models use SFF1 format
(keyboards Tyros 2 and before that)
and later models use SFF2 format(Tyros 3 and models after that)
if I am not mistaking.

Before I sold my T4, I simply copied all the preset styles to a USB stick. Now I have them if I need them.

But the Genos does a great job of substituting its preset styles whenever needed, so I haven't had to go back to the T4 styles (yet).

Simply go to the Genos styles page on the main site.  The style cateogry labels in the table are links to the styles.

https://psrtutorial.com/sty/yamaha/Genos/genos.html

The S975 styles are not out yet, but they are likely to be the very same as are on the S970.  You can get those on the S970 page:

The missing Tyros 5 styles are available to download from the Yamaha site. As are the Audio Styles and Playlists.

Everyone is right you can always download them and put them in the user drive on your Genos then enjoy them 👍
