Does any have a trick for a vocal harmony where the song goes from a solo voice to a harmonizing part back and forth, like the start of the Byrds Turn Turn Turn, and many others?  I haven't messed with saving ONLY one regmem setting onto a saved variation (ie, saving VarA style then saving only the adjusted Vocal Harmony/Mic Setting to #2) to change only that setting without affecting the timing of the style chords?.  Does this make sense? or are there other methods you use? Maybe I'll try it tomorrow.

That's why you have foot pedals ..I found my Yamaha VH2 too complicated to set up multiple harmonies so I now use a Digitech Vocalist live 4 which actually has 4 pedals ,,one to switch in your basic setup like the talk button on the keyboard and then a harmony pedal to switch in and out harmonies and then it has an up and down pedal to scroll thru 50 preset setups and another 50 custom setups ... that way you can do a verse with just effects on (like reverb, echo and pitch control) and then on the chorus you can switch in your preset harmonies with up to main voice and 4 harmony voices ..I found on my Tyros keyboard it was a huge hassle to try to save multiple setups to registrations

I use registrations. I switch from one registration to another when the harmony changes.

thanks... I didn't realize I could save only one item like vocal harmony type to a regmem without affecting the variation playing.  I need to use that on my Voices.  Only thing is it's a pain the remember to change the regmem setting options and push all those buttons.

So I'm trying this and my only prob with that is that I program Chord Looper into most all of my variations.
So If I have VarA song style in regmem1 (with stdharm) and only a different harmony stored in regmem2, if I return to regmem1, it must be done in time for the first chord.
ie, I have a 4 chord variation in VarA, regmem1, stdharm, CL C-E-G-A. I can start the loop and go to regmem2 (the QrtetHarm), but if I return to regmem1 after the E chord, it will restart the loop playing C. So I need to make sure the regmem changes are done at the end of the loop.

But, I can save only StdHarm in regmem7 and QrtetHarm in regmem 8! that works

To each his own. But it is possible to set things up so changing from one button to another sets everything you need done. No other button pushes are required. And, once you've created the registration bank, you can use it forever.

A little bit of time spent arranging your registrations saves time, stress and frustration later.

thanks Fred, working on building some registration banks for other than songs.  and I like your advice on a post I found where you recommend using a foot pedal to turn harmony On or Off, but ICR if it is on or off unless on the V H page.
