USB-Host and DIN-MIDI simultaneously?

In my scenario, my Genos 2 is connected to the Android tablet with a USB-Host cable (A) through the Host port.
Sometimes I use a PC which is connected similarly to the Genos Host connector with a USB-Host cable (B) as necessary.
This means that the Host cable A and B must be swapped at the back of the keyboard. This is a bit annoying.
Does anyone have experience if the connection can be made so that the Android, i.e. cable A is permanently connected
to the Genos Host port, and the PC is simultaneously connected to the Genos DIN (MIDI) connector with a DIN-USB cable.
Are there any possible conflicts?

The problem is that the Midi Port (DIN) only transmits MIDI data, not other information. The USB connection can transmit both audio and MIDI. Thus, it will depend upon what you want to communicate to your PC. If you are using the keyboard as a MIDI controller for a DAW running on your PC, then the MIDI connection will be adequate.

I would recommend to use
- Wireless LAN to connect Genos2 and Android tablet (or phone)
- USB cable to connect Genos2 and PC/Laptop

Via USB cable, you can
- send MIDI data from Genos2 (only MIDI ports A) to PC
- send MIDI data from PC to Genos2 (both MIDI ports A and B)
- send digital audio from Genos2 to PC
- send digital audio from PC to Genos2
- use the Yamaha MusicSoft Downloader App on the PC to exchange MIDI and other files between Genos2 and PC
- use USB Storage Mode to exchange MIDI and other files between Genos2 and PC

Via Wireless LAN, you can
- send MIDI data from Genos2 (only MIDI port A) to Android
- send MIDI data from Android to Genos2 (only MIDI port A)
- send digital audio from Android to Genos2

You cannot send digital audio from Genos2 to Android via Wireless LAN.

MIDI port A or B means the associated logical section of Genos2, not the 5-pin DIN connector !
MIDI port A is connected to the DIN connector A, port B to DIN connector B.
Check the picture on page 153, Genos2 Reference Manual, Chapter 12 MIDI Setting, Section MIDI Receive channel Settings.

RayClem & MillKa,

Thanks for your input and pointing the right chapter in the manual. Now I got it, fairly straight forward.
