Hi all, many years ago I purchased a new PSR3000 when they were introduced and I remember it came with a plug in floppy
disk drive. Does anyone know if these drives are available or a part number..........TIA

The good news is..... They are just simple bog standard computer floppy disc drives. External ones with a simple USB plug are really easy to use and all you need.
They aren't specific to Yamaha, and they are easily sourced and plugged in. They're cheap too.

I still use an external floppy drive myself, powered by a simple USB cable, as I have around 100 floppy discs with all sorts of stuff on them . Sometimes you can pick up boxes of old style discs and I wouldn't be without mine.
These drives are readily available. You can find them on Ebay and most computer stores will still stock them.

However....
According to the information here.... The PSR 3000 actually came with usb.

Correct, they did *not* come with a floppy drive. But you're right, USB floppy drives were readily available at the time, and shouldn't be too hard to source even now

They were designed with Smart Media and Fat16 USB A data access in mind.
