A question for my forum colleagues. I have had a long-standing problem with recording songs MIDI - MULTITRACK on Cubase/cubase13/. How to configure Genos and Cubase to record styles and single midi tracks. On YouTube videos - Tiho has its own way, but it doesn't work very well. Maybe some sensible and in-depth advice. There are no problems with audio recording. Some people advise recording on Genos first and editing the recorded file in Cubase, but this is not a solution

Lut,

in fact the thing is pety simple...Set your Genos to send eweri instrument on the accompaniment section in the diferent Midi chanal.
In this case set drums on chanal 10,bas on chanal 11,CHD1 on chanall 12 and so on...
I dont haw  a Cubase but I thing the setings is equall like in Cakewalk what I used.
So on Cubase set ewery chanal on recive section the same way like on your Genos.
So, drums on chanal 10,bass on chanal11 and so on.

Good lack...some other users can give to you some bether guide how to...

You can , if you wish, just hit record on Cubase and play the keyboard.

Everything will be on one track but it will include channel data, so you can highlight the track and expand/explode/dissolve it (they've used several terms over the years) and Cubase will then display everything on separate tracks. You can then delete (or perhaps just mute) the original single track.
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
