Hi,
Used the quick audio recorder to capture a performance, seems to be saved internally as 018.
I cannot figure out how to move this recording to my connected USB thumb drive so I can process it on my PC.
thanks

Not sure how you get it off internal storage, but before you record AGAIN, in the Audio Quick Recording screen press the 3 bar Menu setting, and set the Storage priority to USB1.

In the same place, you can also set for WAV or MP3 recording.

Keith.
No Yamaha keyboards at present.

Thanks keith, too late for that though!
I can connect G2 to PC and boot up as storage mode, but that's not good either since they are in different rooms.
There must be a copy/paste file utility somewhere...

I found a way, hopefully helpful to others.
you have to go into the song selection page (from the main screen).
then you can not only select songs but copy them around.

When you record an audio song it is saved to your user drive. To access it exit the page back to home. Now press the song A button or B if you used that one. You will now see your recording on User and it will have a title like song 0001. Here you can now name your song and copy to your USB.

Hello,

Press the song button. You'll see song A or song B. Click on Song A or Song B (one is midi, other is audio) and you'll see all midi/audio files stored in the internal memory.

Hi Keith, Genos and Genos2 don't have "storage priority" and/or "mp3 recording".

Thanks fella.
I didn't see what keyboard it was. However....

Those instructions work just fine for the SX 700 and SX 900 models.

On Genos2 your audio recording will be stored on your user section as I described above.
To copy to a USB stick Highlight the song now Press File at the top of the page. Select copy you will see the song highlighted Now press Copy again and select your USB and press Copy Here. Your song will now be on your USB.
