Hello, when playing audio and at the same time browsing through various settings, playlists, etc. the audio gets stuck as if there is a lack of RAM. Tested on two Genos2. Midi files do not do this. Does anyone have this experience?

I take it you are now saving your Audio Filed to USB so as not to use all the user memory whish is now 15GB only.

I tried to save it to user memory too, but without any effect, problem is the same

I too have the same problem and have already reported it to yamaha on 20/11/2023. It looks as genos2 hasn't enough cpu power. Audio stutters also when changing the tempo of a style. Terrible during performances...

To my understanding the user memory has nothing to do with the RAM. The 15 GB is the internal non-volatile flash memory.

Judging by the description, the problem could perhaps be solved with a software update. Maybe it would be enough if Yamaha increased the priority of audio playback.

The 15Gb of memory takes the place of a Hard Drive but when saving WAV files they do take up a lot of space and are therefore much better saved to a large USB stick. I use a 64 Gb in the underside USB compartment for this and do not have any problems searching for other things while an Audio file is playing back.

Todday I received from Yamaha Customer Support:
We can confirm, that there is some kind of ''stuttering'' while browsing files.
At the moment we negotiate with our developers and come back to you as soon as we have more information.
We ask for a little patience.

Sorry I thought Yamaha made their own instruments and did the programming themselves??

Or is that a translation?

That is probably a mistranslation. Regional support/marketing may think of interacting with Yamaha's internal engineering group as "negotiating."   :)  ;) Yamaha engineering doesn't automatically commit to fixes, etc. when reports come in from the field.
