Hi
Since the MFC10 has been discontinued, I am looking for a replacement. Does anyone know if the Nektar Pacer will work with the Genos2. I have looked at the Behringer FCB1010 but it was too big to fit my X stand. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't function without the foot controller. Thanks!

There are still plenty of MFC 10 pedal units available if you search Ebay.
Some barely used.
No Yamaha keyboards at present.
Korg Pa5X /61 Arranger /Workstation
Korg PAAS Mk2 Keyboard Speaker Amp system
Technics SX-PR900 Digital Ensemble Piano
Lenovo M10 Android tablet with Lekato page turner
Roland RH-5 Monitor Headphones

Thanks! Yes, I found one on e-bay uk. A little more expensive than desired, due to shipping costs and import tax. Let's hope it works well.

I'm trying to determine if I'd be better off with a used Yamaha MFC10 or buy a new Behringer FCB1010 "stomp board" for my SX900. I want to trigger registrations, style variations, etc. Unlike the Tyros and Genos, the SX900 requires sy*** messages to trigger these functions. The Yamaha MFC10 can send sy*** messages but has been discontinued so only used units are available. The Behringer FCB1010 is inexpensive and widely available but stock units cannot send the sy*** messages the SX needs.

I've looked at two ways around the Behringer sy*** limitation. "Tiny Box" (https://www.tinybox.rocks/) is a seperate little "dongle" that sits on a MIDI link between the FCB1010 and the SX900. Tiny Box is a very powerful, highly customizable smart MIDI filter, MIDI-USB interface, MIDI merge box and router. It does require some programming chops and it is not inexpensive. But it looks extremely powerful.

The developers of the Tiny Box have managed to squeeze most of the capabilities of Tiny Box into a single programmable read-only memory (PROM) chip called the "UnO2" (https://www.fcb1010.eu/uno2.html) that directly replaces the stock FCB1010 firmware. You have to open the enclosure, pull out the existing firmware chip and plug UnO2 in it's place. The major limitation is that there is very little memory in the FCB1010 to store your custom programming. It is about 1/3 the price of the Tiny Box.

I don't mind the programming challenge of the Tiny Box or UnO2 and I know the combination of a new FCB1010 and either MIDI filter are definitely going to more expensive than a used MFC10. Is it worth the hassle or should I just find a used Yamaha MFC10?
