Hello. I have just downloaded and installed Mobile Sheets,(it's great) loaded my music and all appears well, but, on some of the music I have loaded I have previously written notes/instructions like Style or Tempo and would like to make these notes on the sheets I have missed.
Unfortunayely I can't find out how to do this from the manual. so my question is, and given that I am no "Techie", How do I right notes (not musical ones) onto existing sheet music already loaded into Mobile Sheets?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Den

When you load a song which shows the motes you will see 4 icons at the top left of the screen. Tap the 3rd one from the left. Now select text or what ever you choose to do.

Love Mobile Sheets, use it for all my music, and even as my cue-book for my upcoming Oliver! production. (I'm Music Director).

As Bill says, 3rd icon over at the top when you have the music displayed.  The icon you want looks like a small paint brush.
Then, if you want to make freehand notes (works best with a stylus tablet) select the pen.  If you select the 'T' and then tap on the page, you can add text to that spot.  The stamp tool is also very helpful, with a wide range of stamps from notes to chords to fingering to bow strokes.  (Icon looks like a rubber stamp.) And of course, there's the obligatory highlighter.  There are a couple of other tools that I rarely use, but maybe would be helpful to you.

If you select a tool, and then tap it again, you will get a popup of the tool settings, for color, size opacity, etc.

If you print from Mobile sheets, you can also print out your annotations on the score.  Also, remember to back up once in a while -- you don't want to lose all that work.

My greatful thanks to Bill and acparker.
Those Icons are not there on my screen, to get them I have to make sure that Performance Mode is not selected then randomly "tap" at the top of the screen until they appear, maybe something should be set up elsewhere to make those Icons mandatory.
Anyway thanks again for the help.

Hi Den

On my IPad performance mode selection does not make any difference. All I do is select a song either from a book or directly from the songs tab and the icons always appear.
Maybe something to try - turn off the blue tooth on the IPAD so it's not communicating with the keyboard.

On my Android version, it's part of the title bar.  You can set the title bar to always be visible in the Settings:

Settings>Display Settings>Always show Titlebar.

It's about halfway down the list.

Hope this helps!

Thanks again to Bill and acparker. My Pad is Android and following ac's guide I now have the Icons where they should be.
Thanks again.

Thanks to you all for these posts. All of a sudden Mobile Sheets has given me a great way to add additional information to my music such as which Style I'm using. I received a Stylus pen with my new Lenovo tablet last year, but never realised that I could use it for this purpose

Really really helpful!
Big Thanks.

Mobilesheets is a really powerful tool.  I recommend it to any who want to switch from paper to tablet, and not just for the annotation features.

Did you know that if you connect your tablet to the keyboard via USB to the USB-B port on the back of the Genos, you can link the sheet music to the registration and vice versa?

I have mine set up so that when I pull up a song in Mobilesheets, it loads the correct Registration bank in the Genos.  I also have Mobilesheets monitoring one of the pedals to turn the page, so I don't have to reach up each time.

I've also just switched to Mobile Sheets after 10 years or so with OnSong, as it's now on iOS and so runs on my iPad Pro, and links easily with my Genos2 each way between registrations and songs over WiFi Network Session rather than Bluetooth. Quick and reliably.
Maybe it is the Genos2, maybe it's the Yamaha MDBT01 BT Midi Adapter, but I spent some time before giving up on successfully linking the Genos2 with OnSong
Mobile Sheets is an amazing program, and the feedback from Michael of Zubersoft to queries and issues raised on their Forum is almost immediate.
Highly recommended
