Hello,
I have been using a PSR-9000 the last 20 years.

Is there any way to add new sounds or voices to this keyboard?

Thanks.

The only thing ypou can do is tweak up the existing ones and then save as user voices.

PSR-9000 are also able to do sampling!
Yes! It is possible to sample onboard, although the memory is very-very small...
You can also import .wav and .aiff samples and create new original sounds.
In order to do in any case something useful you must add expansion RAM memory.
If i remember well, you can add up to 64MB (it is MB (Megabytes) NOT GB (gigabites...) to PSR-9000, using 2X32MB RAM sticks

In fact, the PSR9000 gave full editing control over the 8 elements within the voice - the wave, the filter, the LFO, the envelopes .- all things which are now squirreled away into YEM.

I don't really understand why they don't offer this level of control onboard on Genos. Many people would appreciate it!

.. And the Pro version could support plug-in boards to offer for example FM synthesis. Seems like in some ways we've gone backwards over the last 20 years!
