Hello all.

We recently discussed about AI and Genos2.

I just discovered the "Moises" AI application yesterday (not linked at all with any keyboard).
And I wanted to share with forum members the information, and discuss about it. It's quite fantastic. (particularly for DJ).

Software-related existing topics seem only related to software for keyboards.

I didn't find any "other musical information" topic.
I would understand forum moderators don't want to follow too large discussions about topics too far from keyboards.

Hello Soundphase

Back in June, I started a topic in the 'Next Yamaha Keyboards' section regarding 'Keyboards and AI' with the intention of initiating a discussion of how AI could be used with arranger keyboards. It attracted just a handful of respondents, a third of whom thought that using AI with arrangers was not a good idea, and there have been no further contributions since the end of June.

As I am the first to respond to your post of 3 days ago, I am tempted to conclude that currently there is not a great amount of interest (or enthusiasm) for AI amongst members of this forum, which I think is a pity. A couple of weeks ago I posted a Take That song called 'Shine' in the 'Songs played by forum members' section. This was a live recording of me playing the song on my Tyros 5. But I also included an 'AI' version where I had put AI-extracted vocals of Take That onto my recording. As this is something that I think is quite novel, I was expecting for it to provoke a number of comments (one way or the other), but as it turned out no one has commented on the AI version. I will try the same again later this week with another song (a Bee Gees song)  - the AI isolation of the Bee Gees vocals was not as good.

Regarding the type of application you mentioned in your post, in the past couple of months I have retro-fitted AI-extracted vocals to more than 50 of my Tyros 5 recordings from the past 5 years. In my view, most of these have worked very well, and I think the vocals certainly add interest and another dimension to the recordings.

Personally, I think it would be interesting and beneficial to have discussions on the potential and possibilities of how we could use AI technologies with our arrangers to enhance our music-making hobby, on techniques and problems, and certainly regarding the ethics of it all.

Regards

Roy

Hello everyone,

You can use the "Other Accessory Software" board for threads about AI (Artificial Intelligence) programs/apps for musicians.

I have moved this thread here, to the board mentioned.

Best regards,
Chris
