I made a midi which I liked but wanted to alter the volume of some channels and save it with the changes. Cant seem to figure out how. I can make the changes and play it and it sounds right, but it stills saves the original version every time I try to save it. Maybe I have to go onto song creator to do this.
Maybe someone can help. dont want to have to start over just to change volume on a couple of tracks.

Hi Mike,

What keyboard model is your question referring to?

Best regards,

● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Hi Mike
See page 82 of the CVP 609/605 owners manual. The trick is to lock in the settings with the "execute" function in song creator.

Hi Mike,

The procedure for saving the Mixer settings (e.g. Part Volumes) in a MIDI file is given in the CVP-609/605 Owner's and Reference Manuals. But it's not easy to find... ;)

This is how it should work:

- Make desired settings for the Song parts in the Mixer display (Song Ch 1-8/9-16).

- Call up the Song Creator (Menu > Song Creator).

- If necessary, touch the "Edit" icon to return to the portal display of the Song Creator, then execute the Channel Edit function.

- Move the song position to the top of the song by pressing the SONG [STOP] button.

- Touch "Setup". The current settings of the Mixer display and other panel settings can be recorded to the top position of the song as the setup data. The mixer and panel settings recorded here are automatically recalled when the song starts. Checkmark the items of playback features and functions that you wish to automatically be called up along with the selected song.

- Touch "Execute" to execute the Setup (to write the Mixer settings into the MIDI song).

- Touch the "Save" icon to call up the Song Selection display, then save the Song file.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

Thanks guys. A very detailed description Chris, you go to a lot of trouble to help people. Will try it today.
I probably knew how to do this at one time, but when you don't do it for a long time, it becomes a mystery again.
Thanks again,  Mike
