saving an edited midi on the sx900

Havent found the proper way to do this. I go through the whole process of overwriting and saving, but when I come back to it it has reverted to the original form....sigh

I think you need to go to the song recorder's settings (on the top toolbar), select the parameters you want to save and press "Execute".
