Hi Folks,

I wondered if anyone could possibly suggest some registration for Ghost Riders,.. please?

I have a style but it has only the pedal steel listed. :-\

With so many repeats of the tune with different words, I would like to have some changes to stop the sound from getting boring.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Martin

You really don't need to use a registration for this song, just use the Spanish Passadoble style with a tempo of 122 and go through the variations as the song progresses. Work great for me for more than 50 years.

Good luck,

Hi Gary,

Thanks very much for that advice, I'll give that a try. :)

IIRC (keyboard is upstairs!) I use Country 2/4, for that very clear 2 to the bar feel. Tremolo Guitar (home brewed, using a straight guitar and using DSP FX), electric piano and harmonica take the lead, with strings and brasses for the choruses. Mine's a very complex arrangement, using key splits for the right hand and home made multipads. I also use Day SFX for wind, thunder and horses' hooves!

I'll get round to recording it one day, but it went down well in concert, with the audience joining in where required. Didn't even need to ask them! :)
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Hi Andy,

That sounds brilliant. :)

Yes please do make a recording as I'd love to hear it.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give that a try.
