Hi All,
Quick question.  My SX 900 has 105 software update.  Can you skip the other upgrades and go to 110?
Thanks for your help,
Dave Shively

Hi Dave,

The current firmware version for the SX900 is v1.11 (not 1.10):
>>> https://uk.yamaha.com/en/support/updates/firm_psr-sx900.html

Before updating, please read the SX900 Firmware Installation Guide. You can find the relevant link at the bottom left of the update download site linked above.

Please also note that there are also new versions of the manuals (SX900 Owner's Manual and SX900 Reference Manual) which you can download here:
>>> https://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/keyboards/arranger_workstations/psr-sx900/downloads.html#product-tabs

By the way, if you don't have the SX900 Data List yet, please download that as well from the linked SX900 Download site.

Although the user drive is not erased during an update, it doesn't hurt to have a backup of your files in the user drive (e.g. styles, registration bank files, MIDI files, voice files). I also recommend saving the so-called "Setup Files" to a USB stick before updating (in Menu > Utility > Factory Reset Backup > page 2 Setup Files). Save here the three setup files "System", "MIDI" and "User Effect" to a USB stick. (Refer to page 133 in SX900 Reference Manual.)

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Thanks Cris - a very informative answer as usual.  I did mean 111 upgrade.
Thanks for all for your time in resolving this for me.
