Dear experts,
How to create EDM/trance music in sx900? How to bulid up the progression like in a DAW?

I guess you have to clarify your question, e.g what do you mean by 'progression' ? Maybe a link to some examples you want to realize?
My best regards,

Thank you for the links: kind of music I like (too). Generally speaking: It is up to the musician whether he/she wants to do this via a PC/DAW or if he/she wants to use a specialist keyboard (like the Roland one). I think it's a matter of preference for a particular workflow. In any case, it does not work with a Genos or SX like that  :-\
I much prefer to work with the DAW and the PC with 2 (large) screens. That works perfectly for me. I can imagine that you first make a composition in a DAW and further edit it in your keyboard (provided it supports this option). You can then let the midi file play as 'background' and fill in the left and/or right hand where necessary. Then there is quite a bit to 'tweak' too. The SX900 does have some midi options, but it is not possible to completely build up such a composition via the sequencer, just like with the Roland. Even than it would not have my preference.
Unfortunately, Yamaha (who also owns Cubase) doesn't like to let these 2 products work together easily. Apparently there is a separate revenue model for Cubase and Yamaha Keyboards. But what is not can still come (whishful dreaming)??? ;)
My best regards,
Ton

I suppose you could create EDM styles in DAW, but you would need to add a CASM.  I'm working on creating EDM styles but without a DAW.  I will record directly into Style Creator to create the loops or convert Multi Pads and MIDI loops using StyleMagic (which will also create the proper CASM settings.  StyleMagic will also let you Import style parts saved to disk much like we can do the Style Creator Assembly.

There is no easy way to create EDM on your sx900... just a lot of work.  Also to consider... there are not many good EDM Voices in the PSRs so you will need to buy expansion packs from Easy Sounds in Germany to get the EDM Voices and drum kits you want.

I've been preparing to create EDM styles with custom loops I record myself or convert from the internet for more than a year now.  I'm about to get started in the coming months.  But they will use almost exclusively pack Voices in the styles and Multi Pads.  I also will use the on-board arpeggiator, and arps from my Yamaha Motif Rack SX and Proteus 2000.

There is no simple answer or approach.

Just as Joe H. writes, Easy Sounds (DE) has great styles. The potential of the SX900 is to see and listen on the YT-channel of Synthgrooves (Rene..) https://www.youtube.com/c/SynthGrooves/videos
But these are production /custom styles and voices.
