Hello guys,
I don't know if anyone else has done this, but today I decided to install the latest version of YEM on my 64-bit w7... It would be the version that doesn't support W7, but here it ran perfectly.
I thought it would give some error message... Has anyone else tried this?
Regards,
Gabriel

Another forum member posted a short while ago stating what you have discovered.  That YEM v2.8.1 will run on 64 bit Windows 7.  Yamaha states that Windows 7 is no longer supported.  I think that Yamaha don't know that there is a 32 bit and a 64 bit version of Win7.  YEM will NOT run on the 32 bit Windows 7.

So it is...
I thought there was a check on the operating system being used during installation or even when trying to run the program...
At least I'm happy that I'll be able to run the latest version on my old computer, that is until an update takes effect that ends the use of the software on W7.
Does Audio Phraser also work on w7? I'll try

I don't anything about Audio Phraser so I can't say about that.  I suggest you turn the Windows updates Off, but if you decide to leave it turned On I don't think it affect your software.  Most hackers are looking at Windows 10 and 11 users now.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and plan on using it until I die... which might tomorrow or in about 15 years.

;D

* The executable file comes in a 32-bit version only but has been confirmed to operate normally with 64-bit operating systems.
* Correct operation cannot be guaranteed with Windows® installed on a Macintosh® computer using the Boot Camp utility.

- CPU: Intel Pentium® 4 or better; 1.4 GHz or faster

Gabriel,

By the way... I use a dedicated computer for MIDI, so it if off-line and not connected to the internet.  I do not get Windows updates and don't need them since I don't go on the internet with my MIDI machine.  I have a second Windows 7 64 bit computer that is my everyday computer. I selectively install updates that I want.  Namely; Windows Security Updates and Malicious Software Removal Tool.  I do not install updates for Microsoft Edge browser because I don't use it, I only use Firefox.
