In this post, I described my experience building a style using StyleMagic YA. Some questions came up in the process of doing that which I'm repeating here because they are likely to get more attention at the start of  a new thread than at the tail end of a long thread.

Thanks in advance for any answers...

Questions:

One of the voices in OTS 1 is 70sSuitcaseTremolo. When I play this voice directly from the style, the tremolo effect is not there. If I tap on the voice and select it, then the tremolo effect happens. Does anyone know why this would be?

One of the sections was created using the sustain pedal. That section did not sound correctly when played in the style because apparently the sustain control change message (cc64) does not make it from MIDI into a style. Am I correct in this conclusion? Is there a way around this?

Can a keyboard split configuration be included in a style?

I think its because the tremolo effect comes from a DSP. When you select the panel voice, check the mixer to see which DSP the voice is using. Then assign the same DSP to the style part.

If it's not sounding identical you may then need to match the individual DSP parameters.

As far as I know, split points are only memorized in a Registration. Perhaps someone else can chime in on this?
"Learn" your music correctly, then "practice" it. Don't practice mistakes because you'll learn them.

3. Can a keyboard split configuration be included in a style?

#1: When you select a Voice as a Right Voice, the Voice Set file loads which includes the DSP settings.  When used in a style Part, the Voice is loaded without the Voice Set file, so the DSP is not used, but with Genos you can assign the same DSP as an Insert DSP on the style Part.

#2: CC64 is NOT supported in a style Part because the notes can stick On.  If you are trying to make a work-around it will mess up the style.

#3: Not sure what you mean, but I do not know the answer for that one.
