The style files on the Maximan Website are no longer available to download.  I captured these files on December 20, 2016 and have made them available for you via my Microsoft OneDrive online storage account.  :)

Are these dedicated song styles or just Yamaha styles appropriate to these songs (gig styles)?

Thanks

Most of these styles are song-related, i.e. programmed for a specific song title. Just try a few of these styles.

By the way, I recommend using the PC (Windows) program "PSR Style Database v4.8" by Peter Wierzba. This gives you an optimal overview of all important style parameters. (You can display up to 20 columns at a time.)

Hi Margaret,

Most keyboard models don't support that many files per folder.

Which model do you have?

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Chris. i have a tyros 5
Margaret

Hi Margaret,

Tyros5 supports a maximum of 500 files per folder. (But the "Maximan" zip file contains 2126 style files.)

So please do the following:

- Unzip the downloaded zip file into a new, empy folder on your computer.

- Create another new folder on the computer and name it e.g. "sty Maximan".

- Inside this folder "sty Maximan", create 27 subfolders.

- Name the first folder "#" and the other 26 folders in alphabetical order (A, B, C, D, ..., X, Y, Z).

- Copy the styles into the appropriate subfolder based on the first letter of the file name.

- Copy the entire "sty Maximan" folder to the USB stick.

- Connect the stick to the keyboard, and everything should work properly now. :)

P.S.
Note: File names on the Tyros5 may contain a maximum of 41 characters (including Icon ID and file extension: 50 characters). Files with longer names are not displayed.

P.P.S.
Among the styles there are 7 files that do not have the correct extension ".sty". 6 of them have a space between the dot and the letters "sty", and in one case (at "Schuerzenjager_Weihnacht_...") the "y" of ".sty" is missing at the very end. (See also the attached picture.)

You should correct these errors in the file names on the computer before using the USB stick on the T5, otherwise you cannot use these styles.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
