Hello friends.
I don't think this melody is well known outside Norway, but here it is a dear, old Christmas carol. Played on my S975.
Kimer i klokker means bells are ringing. EDIT: The song is known as Praise To The Lord, The Almighty, and is not a Christmas song outside Norway. Interesting!🌲🌲🌲

Gloria

Hi Toril,
Interesting, but unusual, because in the U.S., the song "Kimer i klokker" is known as the hymn "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of Creation"  & is not used as a Christmas song.  Happy holidays to you!   :)

Del

Hi Toril  well played, and the style worked well:)
I am with Gloria, in the UK this is also a Hymn and not deemed as a Christmas Carol, we learn things everyday

Toril S

Thanks Del😀 Here is is a very Christmassy Christmas song🌲🌲

Hi Toril,
Really beautifully and melodiously performed. I know the tune very well as a hymn in the UK and can see why it fits so well with Christmas carols too. The old Calvinist hymn was composed in Germany in the 17th century and the tune probably has its origins in Volksmusik. Tim

Tim, thanks for your kind words and the additional info!😀🌲🌲❤️
