Hello.  Not sure if what I am going to ask is possible on the SX series but I can't find a way.  What I am trying to do is to take, let's say 5 saved registrations Dance 1-bank1, Dance2-bank4,Dance3-bank2, Dance4-bank6 and Dance5-bank3, and load them into a new registration BANK1,2,3,4,5 and then save it as  "MIX Dance" . Every time I switch a registration(Dance1 to load Dance 2) it asks me to save which I think the keyboard is trying to tell me that what I want to accomplish is not possible.  Is this corret?
             Regards!

What you want to accomplish is possible, you just have to save your target bank each time you change it, as the keyboard is telling you to do.

This is good news Fred!!  So if i understand correctly, I save after each bank load to the same name and reply  yes to the overwrite message.   Regards

Here's the procedure:
1. Load source bank
2. Press button you want to copy
3. Load target bank
4. Press Memory>button you want memorized
5. Save bank, confirm overwrite

Repeat steps 1-5 for additional buttons you want copied.

Cheers,
Fred

Hi Dom,

Based on your request, I have the impression that you are exchanging the terms "Registration" and "Registration Bank", i.e. using them the other way round. This can confuse the users who want to help you.

The following terminology is correct:
- A "Registration Bank" (also called "Registration Memory Bank" or only "Bank") is the file (.rgt) that you save in the User drive or on the USB stick) and that you see in the Registration Memory File Selection display and can load from there.

- A "Registration" (also called "Registration Memory") is a certain panel setting that is stored on a specific Registration Memory button (1 - 8⁣). The totality of the eight Registration buttons (whether filled with data or blank) is saved as a "Registration Bank" file.

P.S.
It is best if you are aware that pressing a Registration button always calls up a specific, previously saved panel setting. You can now save ("memorize") this setting (changed if necessary, of course) on any Registration button (as usual by pressing "Memory" and the desired Registration button). If you want to "copy" the current panel setting to another Registration Bank, first load the other Bank and only now press "Memory" and the desired Registration button.

In order to "copy" several Registrations into a new Bank in this way, you have to save the new Bank every time you add a new Registration so that the changes in this Bank are retained.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

Chris, your detailed explanation is a very good education lesson for me. This helps me better understand the workings an terminology of this keyboard and how to manipulate it's functions and features more efficiently. The understanding will also allow me to speak to them on a more intelligent and comprehensive level.
Fred, sorry if I cause any confusion for you.   I now have my answer and can accomplish what I thought was not possible.  This is greatly appreciated.

Thank you both for you support as always!!!     All the best!
