Rendering Song files into MIDI files without recording them into a DAW

Hi,

How can I render a song created as pure* MIDI files ( I assume the chord info will be removed, style variation MIDI messages) without playing them on PSR and then recording it into DAW/sequencer MIDI track?

*I called it here ( maybe not a good name), I am assuming that the style messages are removed and .mid plays on any multi-timbral midi synth.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Good question. Thank you.

I want to import the MIDI into DAW ( replace few Voices) and use VSTs instead.

By the way, does the freeze section Function > Regist Sequence/Freeze, disables changes on PSR, if DAW sends some unwanted MIDI messages? Maybe I should ask this in another thread!

Mega voices used by styles are useless with DAWs.

The only tracks that would work fine is the Drum track and Right Hand tracks.
Mega voices have a different sampling format compared to the regular voices.
Hope this helps you.

I thought based on the manual ( PSR-A3000 page 156), if I open the song in Song Creator and expand:

QuotePress the [F] (EXPAND) button to convert the recorded data to the actual MIDI notes
(Song data).

It would do the job! But It doesn't!

On page 151, says:

QuoteStep Recording:
After inputting the Chord change/Section change events, press the [F] (EXPAND) button to actually record the note data to MIDI channels 9–16.

Can anyone clarify this, please?
