Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to insert a rallentando in a song please via step record?

Thanks,

Karl

Hi Karl,

you have to insert multiple additional Tempo events on the right time positions to reduce the Tempo in well defined steps:

- First you should find out and write down the positions (measures) where the Tempo should be reduced in your song.

- In MIDI Multi Recording go to Step Edit and select "Sy***" instead of "Ch1" there.

- At the beginning of the song (normally on position "001 : 1 : 0000" you should see a "Tempo" event.

- Select this event, then use Copy & Paste to copy the Tempo event multiple times.

- Adjust the time position (measure : beat : clock) of those additional Tempo events as desired.

- Adjust the value of the additional Tempo events as desired.

- Save the song. (It is best to use a new/changed filename to keep the original file.)

P.S
You could also use a PC MIDI editor program like "MixMaster" or a DAW like Cubase. There you can make such changes to MIDI files much faster and easier.

Hope this help!

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
