Dear Casper,

your video about tips and tricks is very interesting and clear, as usual!

Personally, I discovered the so useful function of 3 and 4 fingers, very effective. It will become a consistent control of my playing.

About the solo function in style playing mode, I wonder if it is possible to do the same while in Style Edit mode, and how.

Thanh you,

Angelo

Dear Angelo,

thanks for the compliments for my video, glad to help.
What do you mean by "solo function in style playing mode"? The 3 or 4 finger trick can be used on any Yamaha Style, no additional customization is required.

Sorry. I'll say in a different way.

When I plays in STYLE mode, I can listen to one track only, by keeping pressed the MUTE switch on top of that track (SOLO mode).

I can't find a way to do the same when I'm in Style EDIT mode, to may listen to one track only, in order to better tweak and adjust that track (volume, voice, effect, ecc).

Hope it is better now..... ;)

Thank you

Now I understand what you are asking.
You can always exit Style Creator (select Close without Saving) and use the SOLO option in the mixer for better listening. Everything you previously created in Style Creator will not be deleted. After listening and adjusting in SOLO mode, you can open Style Creator again and continue editing. In this way, changes to the Mixer will affect all Sections. (global)

There is also a different approach and you can open the mixer without exiting Style Creator. Then the changes will only affect the currently active Section. (partial)

There are some very useful articles in the Lessons.

For example, "Adjusting Voices in Songs":

Dear friends,

thank you for your support.

Casper, I knew what you suggests, But unfortunately does not answer to my wish... I really don't know why Yamaha does not provide the chance to SOLO a track during Style Edit mode. The method of leaving Style mode, go in Play mode, solo the desired track, then go back to edit mode, ecc, does not permit the immediate check of a particular track during editing.

Thank you again

Ciao

Angelo

I agree. In addition to what you suggest, there are some other "little things" that should be improved in the Style Creator ... Yamaha does everything in stages, they don't seem to be in a hurry ...  ;D
