help with MixMaster

I also posted on Michael Bedesoms forum.  I can't get program to run on win10.  Says I don't have permissions.  I tried new d/ls, installs and running as administrator.

Hi Earl,

maybe you are not using the current version of MixMaster. If not done so, download and install V19r1:

This version is working properly on Windows 10.


P.S.
Maybe  your security / anti virus program is blocking the correct installation. In this case temporarily deactivate the real time scanner of your security program and disconnect from internet while installing the MixMaster .msi file.

Etienne, I can install.  Have done so twice.  When I try to run it says I don't have permissions.  I have also tried to run as administer.

How do you install ?
Do you change the default install folder when installing ?
By default the program will be installed in folder :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Michael P. Bedesem and Etienne Volbragt\Mixmaster\
Is this correct on your PC ?
If yes , does your Windows 10 login account have access to this folder ?
Can you see the files that are installed in this folder ?

Has the Windows 10 login account administrator rights ?
If not, try to login as administrator in Windows 10.

I have installed and am able to run the program.  Now 2 new problems.

#1. Can't find the setup button.

#2, Help file under setup instructions gives a link to download a special 64 bit driver for pc.  get error that link can't be found.

You need to install the USB driver for your Yamaha keyboard.

Can't find the setup button

The manual is not yet updated for the latest version.
That is why you cannot find the Setup as it is explained in the manual.
The selection of the instrument and midi device are incorporated in the menu.

These are folders (not links) on your PC where you should find the driver's files when installed.

Yes.  I use PCMatic for virus etc..  It has feature called Supershield that was blocking the running of the program.  Once I turned off Supershield the program worked fine.

I have been able to load style into MM and it will play it using setup for 3000. xg or gm.  Have looked at manual but really can't figure out how to do anything more with the program.  A lot of menus and obviously a lot of work has went into the program but how do I use it for anything?

To prevent this from happening while PCMatic is active, you should add MixMaster as an exclusion to PCMatic, Earl.

With MixMaster you can add/edit/delete just about anything in midi, style, pad en voice files.
Read the first page of the manual. This gives a limited description of what can be achieved with MixMaster.
