Hi Enildo, I agree with you that it is better to listen to each style with its full intros and endings. As for the playlists I use them little, and I have not needed them, since I can save my personal styles both in the FAVORITE folder, as in the registration buttons. I can also create a registration bank (or more, if necessary) for a single song. regards. Hans

I use one of the Live Knobs as a style voume control. my only prolem with this is that it tends to change back to default from time to time and i dont know why. i have saved to a registration and frozen it etc. ???

Hi Deane I just had my sx900 in my hands and I immediately noticed what you indicated in point 1) on the left the accompaniment sounds powerful but the voices on the right are set at a lower level and this is clearly audible by the loudspeakers onboard. Now I am convinced that there is some setting to modify ... I don't think Yamaha can fall into error on this. I ask the experts where this setting could be ... if ever there were ... lol

Another annoying thing (for me) is that when you change the style (once clicked on the touchsceen) there is not go back to the home page  automatically, but you have to press exit ... maybe I'm the one who's wrong ...
since I have the keyboard  from one day and it is my first yamaha .. . or have you noticed this too?

Toril S

No, it does not go automatically back to main screen.

Hi Pietro

About selecting a style and going back to the main page, I prefer not to, because if I am looking for a style suitable for a specific song, I would keep going back several times in the styles section. When I find what I want, I press exit and leave.

Yes guys, I agree to check every style, that's ok if you are retired or have plenty of time to spare but we're not all as lucky time-wise, even after finding the style there is "tuning, OTS, registrations" etc. Takes a few hours to get a good result.

Wouldn't it be just great if you had a list of 8 or 10 suggested songs just for a starter, would save a lot of time. Lists on the PC does not give immediate audition of the style, the Music Finder did, just click on the style in the music Finder and you know immediately if the style will work or not and then on to the next. Maybe we could have a database of 10,000 songs or more, a big database that could be split into "Big Band-R&B-Country" etc or ALL

MusicFinder was a good starting point.

The s975 had the repertory function, which was linked to the Music Finder. This helped, as there were some suggestions for some songs that could be played with each style. Out of curiosity, I checked some styles, but they were always from international songs and there was hardly anything from Brazil, even if that style was used for many Brazilian songs. A kind of "wikipedia" could be made where yamaha members from all over the world could contribute, update and feed a list of songs played in each style. It would be a worldwide list and not just for American or European music.

Toril, Enildo ... so it is a volute and useful thing ... I have a lot to learn. Thank you

PS : in exploring my Sx900 more and more ..  it's just an impression, but increasing the general volume this imbalance between right and left is reduced and is no longer so evident ..? as if increasing the volume has less effect on the left side and more on the voices on the right ...
I say this because not everyone has confirmed point 1) of the post ...
