Hello everybody!

Posted this several days ago in another section, but only had 20 views. So lets try this in the Tyros section.
"Never give up...never surrender" as they said in a famous movie...

Does anyone have a template file with wich i can turn my Tyros 5 into a control surface for cakewalk sonar (x3)
I tried to use the learn option, but i cant get it to work.
I love sonar and do not want to switch to another DAW

Thanks in advance!
Jan

Hi Jan,

What is the benefit of controlling the DAW from your keyboard. I don't get it.

For me it's the other way round. I would want to control the keyboard from my DAW and I am looking into that. I use Reaper.

In any case I can do what you want to do pretty easily in Reaper. Check out this video and see if you can duplicate that somehow in Sonar.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for your reply!
The benefit for me is that i don't have to "mouse around" at the laptop.
Since i do not have much space around my keyboard. So its just a practical sollution for me.
Another thing i would like is to select a voice on the keyboard and that Sonar slects the same voice at the same time.vice versa...
But that will be impossible i guess.
I have tested reaper, but the look and feel makes me confused. I tried other daws, but i can handle Sonar better.
Its a matter of taste in my case,

Greetings,
Jan
