In 1943, Bing Crosby recorded I'll Be Home for Christmas.  Written by composer Walter Kent with lyrics by Kim Gannon and Buck Rain, it was originally intended to honor soldiers overseas who longed to be home for Christmas, but it went on to become the most requested song at USO shows for American troops.  In December, 1965 the Gemini 7 astronauts requested that it be played for them by NASA ground control.  The song has been covered by a host of crooners from Bing to Buble and has become a Christmas standard.  I hope some of you will enjoys listening to my instrumental rendition here.
