Hi Guys,
I have a quick question.
I use the Score screen a lot. I thought, I could save these settings a s a registration.
All I am looking to do is to save the setting to show chords and to also keep the font X-Large. I have all the options checked in registration memory, but it does not hold them.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rick D.

do you have Genos V2.0 ?

I believe it was reported that V2 reduced the fonts.   I also understand that because of the font reduction, a couple of people went back to previous OS version.

Not sure if this is related . . . you might want to double check.

thanks

Al,
I do have version 2.0.
With score you can choose the font size of the notes. I was looking for a way to save that setting, so I wouldn't have to reset it each time I boot up.
I believe on the Tyros 5 this setting saved with the registration. I can't get it to save with the registration in spite of checking all the boxes in the Registration memory window.

Thanks,
Rick D.

hello,
to save scoresettings in midifile:
-first put "Score" on an "assignable button" (a,b,c,d or f)
-press button "Recording"
-press "Midi" > "MultiRecording"
-load the midifile
-press the assignable button for "score"
-make all the settings you want
-in score > press the "X" to exit score
and to return to screen "multi recording"
-press "Setup" in this screen
-in the screen "Set up" choose want you want to save
certainly "Score Setting" (do NOT choose Keyboard Voice)
-press "Execute" in this "Set Up"-screen
-after "completed " "Close" the Set Up-screen
to return to the "Multi Recording"-screen
-in this screen press "Save" and save the midifile
on an desired location under the desired name

PS: you can also make those settings in PSRUTI

Thanks Vanzee,

That seems like a lot of work to obtain the goal. I already have Score as an assignable button, and I do have the midi file connected to my registration. I will try the rest of your steps, when I get home.
Thanks again!

Yes Rick, it appears to be  lot of work,
but once one knows it's not so difficult.
It's the same procedure as in Tyros, scoresettings
must be saved in Midifile, in Tyros thus went thru
"Song Creator".
It' a pity that there is no direct connection to "score"
in "Midi Multi Recording" so we have to take a detour
via an assignable button "Score".

Scoresettings can also be done easily by "PSRUTI"
"Extras" > "Score" > "Score Channel/Score Layout/Optimize Score Notes".

Hi Rick,
hi Eddy,

on Genos 2.0 there is NO need to go to MIDI Multi Recording display FIRST:

You can also load a MIDI file "normally" in the MIDI Player, then (in this case) make the desired Score settings and THEN call up the MIDI Multi Recording display.

Important: Make sure that the MIDI file is at the beginning of the song (press Song STOP button) before pressing "Execute" and saving the song newly.

Chris

I just pressed the Menu gateway button and select score then set up what I wanted and it always brings this setting up for me.

The data manual shows that the score setup is stored only in a Song (midi file) not in a registration (except for left/right on/off).

The score setup does retain its setup unless changed, but I can understand that you might want to assign e.g. channel 1 to left hand in one file and channel 4 to left hand in another, depending on what part you want to play long with.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the help. I was able to do what I wanted. Chris your method works as well as Vanzee's. Eileen I will give your method a try also.

Thanks again,
Rick D.

Hi Rick,

thank you for your feedback!

Yes, on Genos 2.0 it works in both ways. And it works the same with SX900/700.

Only on Genos with older Firmware versions (up to V1.41) you must go to MIDI Multi Recording first and load the particular MIDI file (that should be changed / newly saved) there.

Best regards,
Chris
