I am between selling my old Korg Pa800 and
purchasing a new keyboard and as I am 85 year old weight is a problem. So in the meantime I am using my laptop to play Karaoke as I perform.
I am converting some of my midi collection (some of which I obtained from this site) to use.
I have only the sound fonts that came with the
Lenovo Laptop and would like to load  better ones into the Windows computer.
I would be most grateful for help in finding   a source, of preferably free ones I could use, and  in loading and using them.

There are a couple of solutions for your problem Ken.

You can download the CoolSoft VirtualMidiSynth from here: https://coolsoft.altervista.org/en/virtualmidisynth
This is a free midi player and host for soundfonts. There are a number of soundfonts for download (also free) from the same web site.
If your midi files are GM, GS or XG they should work just fine on this player.

You can also use a software Karaoke player like KaraFun from here: https://www.karafun.com/karaokeplayer/
Karafun can play CDG/Mp3 files which are mp3 songs with the song lyrics in a CDG file.

I have about 15,000 of these songs which I have shared with this forum. You can browse the catalog and download any songs that you want for free.
The link to the catalog is here: https://awesome-table.com/-L8A5B4AO0p9GcVgyi3b/view

I hope these ideas will help you.
