If I downloaded a wav or MP3 to my USB can I then record myself playing with the file at the same time?

Pino

I don't think so
It cannot play and record at the same time

Why not download a midi file
Play along with that and record to wave

UPDATE

I've just plugged in a 3.5 mini cable to the 'Aux IN' (S975)
It does record the incoming song and
It does record whatever you play on the keyboard
You can save the wave from there and move it to another device

Hi Pino thanks for reply can you explain what I need in order to do it and where goes where thanks 😉

By using the auxiliary input, you can send an audio file into the keyboard, then engage the USB Audio recorder and play along with the song that is running through the aux input. The onboard recorder/player cannot perform both functions at the same time. It can either record, or play a file, but no onboard recorder/player can do both.

Now, using your PC and a multi-track, audio recording program, such as Audacity, this can be done. You can lay down the first track, then come back and while it plays, lay down another track, and another, and another and so on.

Hope this helps,
