HI

I don't create Styles so I use those loaded in my DGX 660 or styles generously provided by members in this forum. I recently saw a demonstration of Band-In-A-Box to create a backing trac. It looked pretty simple. Has anyone used that software and if so what is your opinion of it?

Thanks

Tony

Yes Tony, I have been a BIAB user since version 6 on floppies.  Now using BIAB2019.  This is a huge program and they keep adding features every year.  The real tracks are amazing!   A lot of info at PGMusic.com.  A huge user base on there forum with programmers from the company involved in the discussions.  A slew of tutorial videos available on the site and a 30 day money back guarantee.  The only problem is the whole package is getting quite pricey.  You can buy basic program and move up when you update.  Biggest difference ion the packages is in the number of real tracks.  Quite frankly I don't know of anyone who has been unhappy with BIAB.

Just a tip,
For creation of backing tracks you can also take a look at Musical MIDI Accompaniment.
The program doesn't have a nice interface and requires Python installed on your computer.
The documentation of the program is good and clear.
So if you don't mind using some elbow grease and the command line on your computer it may be an alternative.

And, it's free.

Like Ekurburski I have been a BIAB user since version 6 on floppies.  Excellent program & the Print out is one of the cleanest available.

https://www.pgmusic.com/ and watch some video's plus there is a good helpful forum.
