Hi everyone,

Just wanted to do a quick vox pop really.  How does everyone create styles or backing in so much as do you do it all in the keyboard or do you use D.A.W's or something similar.

Had my S770 for almost two years and I've really been playing with everything that is onboard as standard, other than altering a few preset sounds and I'm now wanting to provide specific backing.

(P.S. I do know how to create styles and backing)

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It would be mainly a specific beat, which would need to be created, and bass and backing (probably pads).

My only venture into doing this has been via the keyboard and style creator but it seems a bit laborious with the interface.  It's obviously do-able but I'm a want it now kind of guy!!

Making any kind of style from scratch is not trivial. The best way is usually to find something close and edit or assemble from parts of more than one style. That is easy to do on the keyboard. Find a style with a drum track that is close. Look in other styles for a bass line. Assemble together.
