I'm not sure that this is the right place for my question, but here goes:

Can anyone suggest a way to fade away an Ethereal style to zero and then immediately fade in a 12-8 Ballade?

Thank you in anticipation.

I don't think that you can do this automatically, but you could try the following.

Set up two registration buttons, one containing each style and the section that you want to use.
Make sure that the styles are set to 'sync Start' before saving each one.

Select the first registration and start the style.  When you want to start the fade out, press the FADE IN/OUT panel button (alternatively you could assign Fade IN/OUT to a pedal and include this in the registration if you want).

When the Fade out reaches zero, the style will stop, but the levels will remain at zero for the 'Fade Hold Time'. Don't press the Fade button again!

Now, while the levels on the MAIN display are still at zero and before they revert to their 'normal' levels, select the second registration and trigger the new style by playing a chord.  This will trigger the fade function to 'Fade In' the new style.

You can adjust the 'Fade In', 'Fade Out' and 'Fade Out Hold' time parameters of the Fade In/Out function if necessary. On my Tyros4 this is done on the 'Function' > 'Utility' > 'CONFIG 1' screen display.

Not very elegant but with practice, it is easier than it sounds, and it saves you having to scramble around loading the second style manually.

It works a treat! You're right - it does take a bit of practice, and I made life a bit easier by increasing the Fade Hold Time to 2 seconds and I adjusted the Fade In and Fade Out times to six seconds. It didn't take long to learn. Thank you so much.

Just to prove that I really did do it.
