Listening to these songs I can hear the progress I have made in the quality of the productions from the earlier recordings to the latest. This year I hope to once again improve the quality of sound and produce finished songs as well as the backing tracks I used for the vocals. The backing tracks will be for the Genos but could be used for other Yamaha arrangers as well. I am also keen to experiment with audio linked multi-pads and audio styles. Yamaha has given us an audio phraser software program and I want to play with that as well.

Hi Richard. I just listened to some of your videos. There's indeed a quality increase but the older songs are not bad by any means. Particulary liked: "in the air tonight" which is one of your latest recordings. Interested to hear what the condenser mic will make a difference. 
I'm a bit on the same quest as you are to find perfect mixing and recording options with my available equipment, slowly getting better at it.

Hi Willem,

Yes it is a quest but not impossible. There are many people on YouTube who work out of their bedrooms or at least just a room in their house. I think I have the right equipment now but I learned a good lesson this week:

The new Rode NT1-A condenser mic I got will be fantastic for recording but not good for live playing, when you are sitting at the keyboard and using your speakers. The mic is too sensitive. You need to use headphones and have the room as quiet as possible. So that's OK with me because the recordings I make for YouTube are not created live.

I am working on a new song right now and I will go through the whole process I used once it is done.
