Two options for you to consider:

1) find a way to power your keyboard from a batteries and practice outdoors. Many start-a-car-with-a-dead-battery devices already have an inverter and could power your keyboard for couple of hours. And they are rather cheap.

2) Temporarily swap your instrument with somebody who has similar one but from a completely different brand, e.g. Casio/Korg/Roland/etc.

Otherwise you'll be left to the same things that had been problems for the earlier generations of musicians: over-reliance on alcohol/drugs/weird-***ual-practices.  ;)

Put away the sheet music and improvise! Play the songs you remember just from the sounds you hear in your mind. Or just play what comes into your head. Browse through your style collection, listen to the styles and see if one of them inspires you to make a melody.

I think you need to find a way to reward yourself.

Identify something else that you like . . . .

Once you do what you are supposed to do (i.e. practice) then you can do the other stuff that you like . . .
If you do not practice you do not do the other stuff.

You need to motivate yourself, no one else will do it for you. !!!!!

Have a great day.

Put your ears to work -dont get hooked on sheet music as it can become addictive and stifles creativity

Hi Norman,
You noted that you're practicing lots of new songs. Share them with us in this forum. I'm sure people will appreciate it and hope that will motivate you playing more.

Hi Norman
My 10 cents:
1) Have a goal
2) Have a fixed time each day that everyone knows you are unavailable. Make it a regular routine.
3) Allow about an 45 minutes to an hour 4 to 5 times a week.
4) Distribute your time. Do a warm up and allow specific times for things you want to cover.
5) Be effective. If your unwell skip that session.
6) New pieces start slow then get up to tempo then add dynamics and embellishments
7) Always finish with some fun time.
I think you have to develop a routine or it won't happen.
