Style that refuses to be edited and freezes up the keyboard

Hello friends! I have a strange problem with this style that I am attaching: If I try to change the OTS and save it as a new style, the whole keyboard freezes up! I have not edited this style, just changed its name to the song I use it for. When the keyboard freezes up, I can do no changes on the panel, but I can play. I have to turn it completely of to get it normal again. I have tried hanging OTS on other styles, and there is no problem. Please take a look at this for me, I am curious as to why this happens. Is it because I have changed the style's name? Or some other thing? It is a preset style on my S970.

Her is the offending style:

Hi Toril,
on my s750 works ok with no problems.
There are voices in the style that I don't have though so when I save the style there are some Kbs missing and no longer has the "pro" mark as a style.

So is better also to check it someone with an s970.

This is a Jorgen's program in case there is something wrong with the style and not something else involved (like a registration).

Thanks Panos. The style works ok, but if I try to change the OTS the keyboard freezes.

Hi Toril,

I downloaded this disguised OrchestralBossa and had a look in mixmaster. There seems mothing wrong with the style on first glance. I therefor put it on a usb stick and used that to play it on my Tyros 5. Again no problem. When I put the OTS buttons to off and load another style and pick an ots setting from that other style and reload your style pressing memory than pick one of the 4 OTS places to store it and say yes to the save question it stores without a problem. Also when storing the OTS by using the style editor on my T5 it doesn't give any problems.

You could either try one of these methods on your keyboard (not sure if you saved by pressing yes to the OTS question or if you've used style editor to do so). You could also try the OTS editor from Jõrgen's page that can be found on the link Panos gave you. If you can't fix it (I know some stuff is hard to do with impaired sight ;) ) you can let me know the desired OTS settings and I will fix the OTS for you.

kind regards,
Peter

I had checked the OTS also and it was ok although I didn't have the exact string sound of the right 1 voice in the 4th OTS.

Thank you so much, Peter! The strange, strange thing is that I tried it again just now, and now the keyboard did not freeze, and I could change the OTS without a problem and save the style as a new style. Then it was not the style, but the keyboard that was acting up. I get this problem now and then, the instrument freezes or do strange things. Just like a computer that needs a reset.
Thank you Panos and Peter for looking at the style for me :)

Hi Toril,

That happens to all of us from time to time I guess. We are sometimes fiddling just a little too much perhaps. The windows solution than indeed often helps haha. In windows it used to be: "You moved your mouse, please restart window" ;) Lucky for us our Yamaha keyboards are much more thrustworthy and seldom require that action. Glad you solved it dear, already looking forward to listening to your new performance :D

best regards,
Peter
