Sampletank 3

Hi

Anyone had success in mult-layering Inside  Sampletank 3 without freezes and glitches.
I have a new fast computer now and I am wondering If Sampletank is always glitchy.

For the sake of clarity, I create different instances of Sampletank 3 for different instruments.  Sampletank seems to be the least trouble maker of the VI's.. 

If it's glitching check your DAW, make the I/O buffer larger.  the glitching should go away.  I use Logic Pro, on a 2015 Mac Pro, 6 core, 64 gig ram.  RAID system to play samples off of..  I can get about 30 live realtime instruments, before problems start.. More memory is good,

If you're on a Mac, check 'activity monitor', and see if another application is hogging CPU resources.  I have this occasional pesky process, it's called 'kernel task' which is a generic term of an OS process.. It will turn on, start taking 200,300% occasionally going up to 1100% CPU power. At that point, every thing is unresponsive.  The higher this process goes, the more slowly Logic will work.. Been talking with APPLE a number of times. Haven't figured out which process it is..  But when you start to get problems look at 'activity monitor'.. If you're on a PC, I would imagine, they have a similar app to monitor things.

Although I like Ik multimedia products, their tech support is pretty poor in my experience.  But their instruments are pretty solid..
