QuoteI know that, but Exsported file has mid.extention and Inported file has sty.extention.
NOT correct . The file MM sends to Cubase in the second Goto option is .mid.
The file that MM needs to get back from Cubase is also .mid.
MM uses the .mid received from Cubase INCLUDING the changes you made in Cubase to recomposite the style with this midi part and the originally loaded style file in MM.

PS. When the Listviev is opened in MM when you call Cubase, returning from Cubase you need to do a update to see the changes in ListView.

The folder you want to save in was listed in my step-by-step instructions, although you'll have to use your computer user name where it says "yourusername." You just need to save the new file over the old file (i.e., same file name). You don't need to save the Cubase project, since the next time you want to work on the file some more it will get exported from MixMaster and imported into Cubase all over again. :)

EDIT: I was just going to copy the folder path into this post, but looking back over my step-by-step instructions I saw something I'd forgotten about, which is that you need to make sure a particular box is unchecked or it will not export everything. So rather than quote from that post, I'll just link to it:

Way too complicated IMHO.  It would be quicker and easier to use Spit and Splice.

Yes, the first time around it's a lot of steps to go through. :)

But most of the steps aren't needed in subsequent sessions, since everything will be set up from the first time. Cubase will even remember the folder you want to export the edited MIDI file to, so you shouldn't need to browse for it-- and that pesky check box will also still be unchecked from the first time through.

So the first time-- OMG!

But the second time-- Easy peasy! :)

Joe, it's not all about making a thing easier and faster. It's a pleasure to have a lot of members of the forum accompanying this topic. And more: people who know something about the programs or even generate it are included in it. Moreover, one of these it's certainly Etienne, a programmer who takes care of the Mix Master program.
Even greater satisfaction is that I have helped with my sometimes sily questions to the point that MM will be even better from now on.

On this occasion, I would like to thank everyone who participated in this topic, but most of all I would like to thank to Etienne and Michael...this
guy's had a will to help in any time.

Regards

Please Joe:what mean that IMHO...?
