Hi friends,
I like to create my own Multipad
But a number of voices will obviously not be recorded or are not suitable as
Multipad.
Is there somewhere a list which voices can be used to create a new Mutipad ?

Cheers

Hi Udo,

It should just be Super Articulation (S.Art, S.Art2) voices and Organ Flutes that you can't use to record MPs on the keyboard.  If you have either of these voice types loaded into R1 to make the recording, it will be replaced by a piano voice in the MP.

However, you can still use SArt. and S.Art2 voices in a MP, but you have to record the pad first with a 'legal' voice and then edit the bank setting and program change events in the MIDI code for the pad to show the correct MSB:LSB and PRG numbers for the voice that you want to use.

These can be obtained from the keyboard's 'Data List' (which you can download).

Alternatively you can turn on the option to display Voice Numbers in the Function > Utility > Config 2 display (option 2).  When this is set, the voice selection display will show the voice number for each voice (not in the Tyros 'List View').

Although the above allows you to use any voices in a MP, sometimes these 'illegal' voice types may not sound exactly the same as they do when loaded into a R/L voice part!

Still, it is worth trying!
