Has anyone used an arranger keyboard with the Bose L1?
I prefer stereo and have used the Bose compact speakers many times in stereo. I think Yamaha keyboards sound better in stereo.
That said, I recently played a large venue where the compacts couldn't "cut it".
Even though I don't get many jobs like that, I decided to buy a used Bose L1 just for those occasions. I have heard them live and they are very powerful to my ears.
Consequently I am trying to figure out the best configuration with my Tyros5 and the Bose L1
I realize stereo is not applicable at great distances so mono is probably the way to go.
Also, I use a mixer for two vocal mics and arranger. Since I can't "crank it up" I am trying to get the best sound in my practice room at a lower volume and later turn it up at the venue. Should I send L and R sends to two separate inputs (channel 1 & 2) on the Bose?
I guess the best solution is to not take those type gigs, but I'll take what I can get.

Yes. You use two separate imputs for good sound quality. I am very satisfied with my L1 compact.

and PSR-47.
Former keyboards: PSR-S970.

I am referring to the Bose L1 "classic".
I already have and use the compacts, which I like very much.
Also, to further clarify my comments, I run my mic through the Tyros and run Tyros outputs to the mixer. The second mic is run straight through the mixer.

Bose L1 only has one channel for input (guitar, keyboard, etc).  There is another channel for microphone, however, the user manual indicates that the mic channel can only be used for a microphone . . . .

If you will only connect one speaker to the keyboard (ie. Bose L1) you can use the keyboard output L+R and connect that directly to the Bose L1.

If you are using two speakers then connect one to the keyboard output L and one to the keyboard output L+R.

You can connect the two keyboard outputs to the mixer, however, the Bose L1 only has only one input channel . . . .

I used the Bose L1 PAS with a single sub for three years before the L1 Compact became available - it was incredible sounding, even in mono.

I got the best results by plugging the outputs from the keyboard into separate inputs. This provided me a a very full, robust sound, yet still produced the clearest sounds I have yet to encounter with any PA system.

The 3 band EQ system on the remote was a great tool in that it allowed you to make changes on the fly while performing live. I mounted the remote on the right side of the keyboard with a velcro strip, which made it very easy to access and didn't get in the way while playing.

There are several DJs and KJs in my area that use the Bose L1 PAS system and their audiences love what they hear - even in mono. Keep in mind that this system has 24 speakers in the towers, and can use up to two subs, but one is usually more than sufficient to blow out the windows of any venue.

Hope this helps,
