Hi,

I tried to load some registrations into Murrays registration manager but it would not load the .rgt files for some reason8-((

The message was to send the files to Murray to have a look at, I have done that.

What is strange is that the registrations work fine on my T4.

I have tried 2 copies on 2 different pc's and different reg files with the same result.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Thanks,

Martin

Martin:

I can only help you with the problem when I receive the registration that won't load to analyze.

Just post a couple of the problem registration banks here as attachments to a reply.  The files are small and can be attached to a post without needing to be 'zipped'.

Murray and anyone else interested are sure to get them then!

Hi Martin:

I'm not sure what the problem is with your computers, but there's nothing in these registrations that won't load on my version of the program running on a Windows 10 laptop.

Send me an email, and I'll provide you with a copy of the program that bypasses the msi install, this may solve the problem.

Just give the program a try. Load a registration, and convert it to your desired keyboard.

I tried loading my PSR2100 Regisrtation Files to the program but they won't load. Is it because of the file extension of Reg files in PSR2100 which is .REG?

Thanks

Hi Mel,

The extension is one reason indeed. The other and more important one is that the PSR2100 isn't supported by YRM. Now, without being an expert when it comes to how exactly a PSR2100 registration is coded, my guess is that the format differs quite a bit as well.

In short: You will not be able to convert those registrations with YRM and unless that changes (and I doubt that giving teh age of th keyboard) you will need to rebuild them on the 3000. It's preferable anyway since the 3000 has nicer/newer instruments and styles. Your new registrations will benefit from that fact greatly :)

Peter is correct, not only the file type but the internal structure of the registration file is different.  I tried to analyze those differences to add the conversion to YRM, but it proved to be impossible.

Thank you Peter, Murray for the info. I'll then re-build my old Reg files
