I wonder how you can edit in a recorded AUDIO001.wav file so that it can be played back on a PSR-E473 ? It will not recognize the edited wave file after editing. What program should I use and save the file in?

cheers

First look at the settings of the original wav file. After editing the wav file should be saved with the same setting.

Just make sure you save it in the same format as the original. Typically 44.1khz, stereo.

The AUD format seems specfic to computer games from a specific company.

You could try converting it here:

to MP3 then use Audacity to convert to WAV.  Or, as WAV is a conversion option on this site, try a direct AUD to WAV conversion.
However, I'm guessing that it is the edits that are causing the issue. Might be better to go back to the original file, do the conversion and then
do the edits again on the WAV file.

Let us all know what you did and if it worked.

Yes, problem solved. Your method worked :)
I used WavePad Sound Editor. I will later try to edit in Audacity directly. Maybe it works without converting to .mp3 and just save in Audacity instead.
