I am looking for a display adapter for my PSR-SX900
Yamaha specifies the DIgitus DA-70833 and DA-70834.
I cannot find these here in the Netherlands or Germany.
I can buy the DA-70840 adapter in the Netherlands. Does anyone know if it works?
Greetings Rainer

Oh, it is USB 3.0

Probably not what you want to hear, but I recall the Genos/PSRsx900 display adapters requiring USB 2; the USB3 ones apparently aren't compatible.

Hi Rainer,

The DA-70840 graphics adapter you mentioned probably won't work on the SX900 because it uses USB 3.x. As far as I know, a USB 2.0 graphics adapter must be used. It must also be compatible with the DisplayLink standard.

By the way, I used the iTec HDTRIO adapter with Genos1.

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

@Bissig ,
Please find the list of compatible USB display adapters for the PSR-SX900, SX920, and GENOS models here:

Hello,

The best plan is to take a device that offers at least VGA and HDMI connection with adapter... these adapters can be found at retail if needed.

The 4/3 screens are very suitable for representing the text format of the keyboard because we have a loss whatever the screen format, 4/3 or 16/9 with 2 black bands at the top and bottom of the screen that Yamaha left us as a gift of restrictions! What's the problem? Impossible to correct!

The 4/3 (VGA) screens are fine, but they're heavy and thick, and the VGA outputs aren't always well placed. My 19" 4/3 was laid flat and fixed without its stand, leaning against a music stand.

I switched to an extra-flat 15"6 16:9 (HDMI) monitor, which sits on top of the keyboard stand. It's much nicer to have it in front of you... I went back to 16:9 for the convenience of proximity!
