Looking for ideas on the best way to clean the screen on my SX920.
Once it's cleaned any suggestions on a screen protector for it.
The ones for iPads, iPhones and the one in the car still work fine with the touch screens.
I'm hoping that would be the same for the keyboard.

Hi @hjones,

I only use a dry, soft microfiber cloth, moistened with a few drops of water if necessary. I use it for the display as well as the keyboard and the entire housing surface (Genos2, Genos1, Tyros5).

I would advise against using a screen protector film/foil, and I certainly don't use one. Some users use screen protectors designed for smartphones or tablets, for example, or transfer films designed for printers. It should be noted that the Genos and SX models do not have so-called "capacitive" touchscreens (multi-touch capable) like smartphones/tablets, but rather "resistive" touchscreens (not multi-touch capable). Any screen protector should therefore not be too thick so as not to impair correct functioning.

With the Genos1, some users also reported that the touchscreen no longer responded if the screen protector used had slipped too far to a certain edge of the display.

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Personally, I like to use 'Spectacles lens wipes', these are gentle non-scratch tissues impregnated with a cleanser that dried smear free. I use them on my keyboards, camera equipment, tablets and phones. Take a look on Amazon or ebay, the ones I use are by 'Healthpoint' and I buy in bulk.

I've cleaned all my keyboards of the last 40+ years exactly as suggested by Chris, with excellent results, also for touch display when they became available.

The use of products containing chemical components could eventually affect and damage the graphics on the panel and also the display. IMHO

In addition, when I leave home for traveling for days or weeks, I cover my Genos with a Gator GKC1540 keyboard cover that fits perfectly, to prevent dust accumulation.

Thanks to all for thoughts and suggestions. As an aside my 920, as was the case with my 900, stays covered all the time except when I'm playing.
