Hello.

Is possible to tune/coarse (-24 + 24) a part independently?

For example, part 1 not pitched (to zero) and part 2 set to +5 (a fifth above)

This is something not possible in Genos 1

I can do this very easy on my CK61 and my Modx+ and it is a very important feature for my music.

Thanks in advance for your reactions and congrats for the new forum software.

No, that is not possible as far as I know.

But 1+5 can be achieved as follows:

R1: On
R2: On
Harmony: On

With the following settings for Harmony:
Category: Harmony
Type: 1+5
Detail > Assign: Multi (not "Type: Multi Assign"!)

Now R1 plays the tonic (the 1) and R2 plays the fifth (the 5).

And in this case, no chord needs to be played with the left hand.

Thank you very much for your reply Kurt.

I don't understand why Yamaha doesn't includes this common feature in the Genos.

Regards.

I agree. It seems odd. You can do this on the MODX line, and also freely assign 16 voices to different ranges on the keyboard rather than just L/R split. But I assume they think this isn't commonly needed on the arranger line so, even though Genos is perfectly able to do it, it's not exposed through the panel.

As far as I know, Genos cannot make a third, or a sixth...to give two examples.
This is a basic feature that gives to music full color.

I really don't understand that such as expansive machine can't do this.

My MODX7+ CK61 and Roland RD88 have this feature.
