Hello friends!

During my style hunting I still find tons of 2 variation styles, especially PSR 8000 and older styles. Many were 3rd party pro styles and many still sound great. In the past many members have tried to convert 2 variation styles to 4 variation styles. Sometimes it's easy to hear those conversions. Even Yamaha took many of their 2 variation styles and made them 4 variations. Sometimes they just don't "flow" correctly.  When you usually select a 4 variation style the 4 variations, A B C and D, the accompaniment starts minimally in A and each successive variation adds more until variation D. A lot of times when you make a 4 variation style out of a 2 variation one the A B C D really becomes A D B C since you are adding 2 new variations that will play AFTER the first 2 variations. I hope I'm explaining this correctly.  This isn't really a problem as long as you are aware of it. One could always copy and paste the variations so they recite the correct order. Usually if I use a 2 variation style I just play the 2 variation turning on or off parts as to simulate a 4 variation style.  -charley
