Thumb drive Issues with a Mac

Hello,
I have purchased my very first Yamaha PSR SX920 and I love it!  Just having issues now with thumb drives.  I have googled videos, but for some reason the Keyboard keeps telling me to format the thumb drive which I do.  Then when I plug it into my Mac and then transfer the files, I plug it back into the Keyboard and once again it tells me to format my thumb drive.  I have also used Disk utility on my Mac to erase the contents.  And I believe the thumb drive is in the correct format but I am now at a loss.  If someone could lead me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it so I can get to downloading styles.

Hello Carol,

try a different thumb drive. Not all thumb drives work with Yamaha keyboards
